Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing procurement support to Deloittes Strategic Procurement Services group. It presents a unique opportunity to apply skills and knowledge while working under the direction of a Procurement Manager on a team responsible for the procurement of goods and services related to training, learning and talent acquisition related activities.
The position requires the individual to become an active member of cross- functional teams comprised of representatives from the Deloitte US Firms in National Operations, Recruiting, Learning & Development, General Counsel, Partner Services, Risk Management and others, as required, through all steps of the procurement process.
Responsibilities include:
Analyzing and documenting spend within categories
Understanding supply markets
Negotiating pricing/ contract terms and establishing supplier contracts
Participating in strategic sourcing activities
Establishing and maintaining analysis and tracking reports, while monitoring contract compliance and usage of specific products and services
Performing the daily tasks required to build consensus among team members, develop improvement opportunities in supplier performance and support the development and implementation of strategic solutions
Assisting the Procurement Manager in managing supplier relationships to improve internal client satisfaction.
Desired Profile
Education requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Necessary Prior Experience: Minimum 5- 8 years of relevant work experience in a procurement sourcing role. Process analysis and customer service experience a plus.
Required Specific Skills:
Strong strategic sourcing skills- Experience in Talent related categories, such as training, learning and development and/ or talent acquisition is highly preferred
Strong research and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results with minimum direction.
A customer service orientation and ability work under tight time constraints.
Experience as a contributing member of a cross- functional team, with ability to build consensus among people.
Highly organized with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Competence with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with the strategic procurement process in a large decentralized environment is preferred.
Familiarity with continuous improvement processes and tools such as Six- sigma and value stream mapping.
Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of Ariba Sourcing program capabilities preferred
